It was a bit awkward up to the moment our lovely guest wanted to know exactly what exactly was the liquid in the weatherglass. Serving a chilled Pinot Gris, we joked that it only worked with a genuine Vinter's Reserve. Admittedly a roundabout way to start a conversation on the weather. But the ice was broken, so to speak, an our guests toasted to a most ingenious invention.
